The BGA is associated with several awards. Each year it chooses ‘An outstanding early career geoscientist’ to present The Bullerwell Lecture at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) and Post-Graduate Research in Progress (PGRIP) meetings. Prizes are also given to the best talks and posters at the annual Post-Graduate Research in Progress meeting and UK Higher Education establishments across the country nominate their Best Undergraduate student engaged in the study of geophysics.
